On 11 December International Dialogues Foundation(IDF) in cooperation with the Student Coordinating Group(SCG) organised a roundtable meeting to discuss the prospects for the negotiating process on the Israeli/Palestinian question as a consequence of Barak Obama becoming President of the US. As the reader will notice the speakers were not overoptimistic. And as the developments which took place shortly after this meeting in and around Gaza have shown there is certainly no reason for easy optimism. The more reason to go on in the spirit of shared responsibility and open- mindedness they have shown, and which we consider as the hallmark of our project. each other, have negotiators.
